Britain Still Refusing to Destroy Illegally Held DNA
In 2001, a British boy, only age 11, had his DNA taken by the British government when he was accused of robbery. Even though he was later acquitted, the British government defiantly still refuses to destroy the boy's genetic code or publically change policy.
The DNA case was brought to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and a December, 4 2008 ruling confirmed that Britain had violated the boy's human rights.
