Donald Crabtree, the Vassalboro entrepreneur whose topless coffee shop was torched by anti-nudity vigilantes in June, won't stop believing in his business.

Crabtree will apply for a permit to rebuild before the Vassalboro Planning Board on Tuesday.

A fourth-grade teacher in Falmouth, Maine, has apologized for playing the groom in a mock wedding to a student as reported by The Forecaster.

The principal told parents that teacher Paul Rosenblum of Plummer-Motz School agreed when the female student proposed to him.

At a ceremony held in the playground, Rosenblum wore a black graduation gown and a clown tie and the girl had a sheet draped around her clothes for her gown, according to the report.

At the end, Rosenblum said there was no kiss. Instead they held hands and ran down the gaz....

Valerie Bailey, a 66-year old pensioner in the United Kingdom, thought something was up when her West Highland Terrier Holly began to "sleep until mid-morning."

The BBC reports that she eventually connected her "stoned" dog with the neighbors, who had strong smells coming from their house. She called the police, who raided the place and found over 200 marijuana plants.

A 28-year-old patient in the city of Izhevsk, Russia had a fir tree growing inside of his lung, according to the daily Komsomolskaya Pravda.

“I blinked three times, and thought I was seeing things. Then I called the assistant to have a look,” Vladimir Kamashev, the doctor who treated the man, the newspaper.

Doctors believe the man inhaled a small bud, which sprouted and started to grow inside his lung. A part of the lung with the fir tree was removed successfully and will undergo more studies.

Waterville, Maine -- Seven people have been arrested in connection with a night of arson at the former Boys and Girls Club building.

The boneheaded teens posted a video of their molotov cocktail mayhem on YouTube (no longer available), which helped the police track them down. The fire-happy fools even cited their own names in the video's credits, according to the cops. The police department has released stills from the video, one of which is available with this story.
