Beginning today, $250 checks will distributed to Social Security and Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries in Maine. Altogether, Maine residents will receive over $72 million. Starting in late May, the $250 payments will go out to Railroad Retirement Board beneficiaries, and in June, to Veteran Compensation and Pension beneficiaries.
