Storm Gathering over Same Sex Marriage in Maine

Today, there is a massive legislative hearing on same sex marriage at the Augusta Civic Center.

The gay marriage battle is also raging across America and on YouTube, as both sides duke it out with advocacy videos.

First, the National Organization for Marriage released their clip on the "storm gathering" which suggests "freedom will be taken away" by gay marriage. The video was mocked by many amateur YouTube film-makers over its use of actors, rather than "real" people telling their stories.

It would have been helpful had the NOM video included some facts about the nameless "they(s)" who are allegedly doing the unidentified awful things to these poor actors. I have no idea to what exactly they are objecting.

The LNL video isn't a lot more specific, but since it's not accusing anyone of anything, that's less of a problem.

The whole storm theme doesn't make a lot of sense to me in either case.

NOM is Confused

I enjoy how much the YouTube community has pushed back against the NOM nonsense.
