Topless Coffee Shop Could Be Rebuilt

Donald Crabtree, the Vassalboro entrepreneur whose topless coffee shop was torched by anti-nudity vigilantes in June, won't stop believing in his business.

Crabtree will apply for a permit to rebuild before the Vassalboro Planning Board on Tuesday.

The coffee shop brought entertainment and jobs to Vassalboro. But it also brought national media coverage that some residents didn't appreciate.

The town's residents voted to approve restrictions on adult businesses at a meeting shortly after the fire.
