Menu Labeling in Maine Is a Common Sense Approach to Obesity Prevention

Across the country there is growing support for laws and regulations requiring chain restaurants to post nutrition information and more specifically, calories on the menu and menu boards.
In Maine, support has come from not only the public health community, but from youth, physicians, health insurance providers and the Maine Parent-Teacher Association. Perhaps the reason for this is that menu labeling is such a common sense initiative.
