Saddleback Gets Lifted

Maine's Saddleback ski resort has more advanced terrain in its summit bowl than any other resort in the East. But for most of the mountain's history, the top terrain was only accessible by a T-Bar.
This year, skiers can finally enjoy proper access to the summit now that the new Kennebago Quad Chair, which replaced an old T-Bar, is operational.
After years of trouble with environmental groups and a stand-off over the Appallachian trail, which runs along the top humps of both Saddleback peaks, Maine's Land Use Regulation Commission has approved many new developments to the resort. This includes an additional nine chairlif....
