Celtic's Clinch Is a Psychological Victory
When the Celtics clinched the Atlantic division on Wednesday with a win over the Miami Heat, they jumped over a symbolic hurdle. Some argue that clinching the division has little significance, including Celtic Coach Doc Rivers who said in the Celtics-Heat post game press conference "you don't hang division banners."
But to nervous Celtics fans, and perhaps a few of the boys in green, the clinch was immensely important.
The Celtics had lost four of their last five games, and each night another player went on the injured list. For a brief moment, it almost seemed as if there would be some monumental collapse: the team stop....
