Why Did Obama Choose Bud Light?

So President Obama and Vice President Biden took a break from their busy schedules and had a beer with Harvard Prof. Henry Louis Gates and Cambridge Police Sgt. James Crowley. Sounds like they smoothed things over.
Everyone's still talking about why we are still talking about the "beer summit" so we will add our two cents. Let's talk about the beer choices.
Gates picked Sam Adams Light, a local Boston brew. Biden went with Buckler, a low-alcohol beer. And Crowley picked Blue Moon. But Obama? He chose Bud Light.
Was the President looking for street cred from the white crowd? Why would the President pick Bud Light? ....
