Oldham, Kentucky has an unfair number of authentic restaurants, bistros and cafes. It is well known that Kentuckians are suckers for great grub. Their chefs will labor for hours over their feasts and they bring hometown pride to their tables.
If you think Oldham, Kentucky is owned by chains like Subway and Taco Bell, you would be so wrong. Yet real Kentuckians aren’t measuring success by someone else’s arbitrary standards though.
To culinarians in the know, this provincial civic area has bona fide food credentials. The ideal restaurants anticipate your review, whether you are an aficionado for chops and potatoes or a thin crust pizza critic. Because who doesn’t love pizza?!
Weekender tourists to Kentucky will be amazed at how these chefs use totally authentic ingredients like broilers and barley and other ingredients from nearby Caldwell, Lincoln and Edmonson counties. Of the restaurants we have selected, some are cheap and some Polish, German and Cuban joints are expensive by Kentucky standards.
Turn on the news and it feels like we are living in tumultous times. For example, it’s like Democrats aren’t even from the same planet as Republicans. But at least everyone in Kentucky can find common ground when it comes to enjoying a meal at these welcoming restaurants. We hope you enjoy!
