When the Rolling Stones Ruled the World

During their early days in London, the Rolling Stones were the ultimate bad boy band.

Even though Mic Jagger, Keith Richards and crew did earn their debaucherous reputation on their own, their manager Andrew Loog Oldham specifically assembled a group of “pretty, thin, long-haired boys” as an antidote to the clean cut Beatles. Once the band broke, it was off to America and global domination.

Here’s original guitarist and Stones founder Brian Jones chilling with Keith Richards by the pool at the Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater, FL on May 7, 1965, plus 9 other pics from the band’s glory years which show why the Stones were the world’s “greatest rock ‘n roll band.”
