Oscar Wilde in America

Oscar Wilde moved to America in 1882 and took the country by storm.

Here is reclining with “Poems” by Napoleon Sarony while in New York. Wilde often liked to exude ennui even though in reality he was a hard worker.  By the end of the 1880s he had traveled from Boston to Colorado and was a father, an editor and a writer.
