Power hitter Justin Upton, Tigers agree to terms on six-year pact

Detroit, MI, United States (NewsBahn) – The Detroit Tigers agreed to terms with slugger Justin Upton on a six-year contract worth $132.75 million, according to an MLB.com. report.

The Tigers are expected to confirm the deal Wednesday afternoon.

Upton hit .251/.336/.454 last season and is just 28-years-old. Upton has played at least 149 games in each of the past five seasons, showing off his durability while boasting five seasons of 25-plus home runs.

He also drew 68 walks and can get on base in a formidable lineup that also contains Miguel Cabrera and Upton also stole over 15 bases in five of the last seven seasons.
